Atari Teenage Riot
2012 was a great year for me and I had the opportunity to take portraits of fabulous musicians. I did a lot of these jobs by using my beloved Hasselblad 503CX. For me, analog photography is still the best way to capture amazing moments and therefore I will continue in doing so in the future. It´s something magic about it when you release the shutter (omg, the sound!) and you instantly feel, that this was the shot you were looking for. It´s also more brainwork for me and I mostly limit myself to 12 pics per session (which correspond to 1x 120 film). For these kind of jobs, anyway, you have in general not more then 20min for the shooting.
I would like to thank Atari Teenage Riot, Charlie Winston, Bauchklang (I also did the cover shooting of their EP “Ray” and the german tourposter), Ed Sheeran, I HEART SHARKS, Aloe Blacc, Andrew Raochford, Rachel Sermanni, Erica Nockalls, Fin Greenal, Rae Morris and Stefan Hantel for their time and patience during the shootings. Special thanks to my friend Alex Nussbaumer (http://www.al-x.at/) for his support and Daniel Eberharter (www.wuk.at) for the location scouting and booking great bands to his venue.
